Taken from Alan Lomax’s trip through the Southern U.S. in 1959, this piece features an early stereo field recording of guitarist and singer Rose Hemphill singing “Rolled & Tumbled” – performed in the home of the legendary delta blues guitarist, Mississippi Fred McDowell.
